Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is an easy to moderate level trek. It is a beginner-friendly trek, so people of any age and experience can participate in it. The trail has long ascents and descents, so you have to be fit enough to tackle those. On average, you will trek 5 to 6 hours a day on Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking.
Most of the trail runs through dense forests of rhododendron, oak, and bamboo. You will be trekking inside the Annapurna Conservation Area, so expect to come across a variety of flora & fauna. The trail crosses streams and hanging suspension bridges on rivers. The Ghorepani Poon Hill trail distance is approximately 40 km.
Altitude sickness

Best time to do the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek
The best time to do the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek 9 days is during the spring and autumn seasons. These two seasons have stable weather and a pleasant climate with chill air, which is perfect for trekking. Likewise, the trail gets decorated by colorful rhododendrons and other vegetation. Rivers and waterfalls are at their best. And the mountain views are phenomenal.
You can also do the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek in winter if you can tolerate the cold. The winter panorama is exceptionally beautiful. Likewise, the snowfall makes the route like a winter wonderland. On the contrary, you have to carry more clothing pieces to keep yourself warm while trekking in winter.

Accommodation and meals during Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking
You will stay in a three-star hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara. While trekking, your main accommodation will be a lodge. The lodge has basic accommodations, but you will get a clean and cozy room with an attached washroom to spend the night. There will not be many services available in the lode.
You may have to pay a few additional bucks for services like WiFi, hot shower, and charging. So, carry enough Nepali cash with you as these expenses are not covered in our Ghorepani Poon Hill trek cost.
Meals are offered as per the menu of the lodge. There is a wide variety of food available. You have options like roti, curries, dal bhat, dhido, sandwiches, burgers, porridge, soup, noodles, thukpa, momo, pasta, etc. Similarly, drinking water, soft drinks, tea, coffee, etc are also available easily.
