Useful Information

Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour Best Time

In October and November (autumn), you can see the best views of the snow-clustered Himalayan mountains. The weather is cool, giving you a crystal clear view of the mountains during the Everest breakfast helicopter tour. These two months have the ideal weather for traveling in the Himalayas.

With that being said, we also want you to know that the weather in the Himalayas can be unpredictable, so it is wise to be prepared for any kind of situation. As the monsoon washes off all the pollution, and autumn begins with crisps air & undisrupted mountain views.

In addition to being the most stable month, autumn is also the most suitable time for an Everest Base Camp helicopter tour because of the festivity of the locals. There is a rare chance of cancellation of flights during this time as the weather is clear.

You will not only get to see clear mountains during the heli ride but also incredible landscapes, icefalls, and glaciers. Apart from autumn, you can also do the Everest Base Camp helicopter tour with landing in spring (March to April) and winter (December to February). In winter, there can be flight delays.

Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour with Landing Difficulty

Everest Base Camp helicopter tour in Nepal is the easiest trip you can take in the Himalayas. The tour does not involve any difficulty walking or long time commitment. It is a short 4 hours program. Altitude Sickness

The Everest Base Camp is at an altitude of 5,364 meters above sea level. The basecamp Everest is not the highest point during the Everest Base Camp helicopter tour. It's Kala Patthar (5,644 m). This elevation has a higher chance of altitude sickness. Most people may not have experienced this much elevation in their entire life.

If your body suddenly sees a dramatic altitude change, then acute mountain sickness (altitude sickness) can occur due to a lack of oxygen. In this attitude, your body goes through many changes. Everyone reacts differently at different altitudes. You can experience rapid and deep breathing too.

We have precisely designed our Everest Base Camp helicopter tour itinerary, so you do not have to worry about altitude sickness during the helicopter tour. On top of that, we always carry an oxygen cylinder inside the helicopter and first aid to ensure the safety of our guests.
